Happy birthday, Kool G Rap. In part deux of our video homage to the Kool Genius of Rap we present G Rap & DJ Polo performing “Talk Like Sex” at a Harlem voter registration rally on 125th St., summer 1990. How this – one the greatest ignorant rhymes of all-time – made the set list for this type of event is beyond comprehension, but we’re soooooooooooo glad it did. Extra props, however, go to the duo for their sidekicks and stage props: specifically, Joe Fatal (of Main Source “Live at the BBQ”-fame) seen hittin’ it from the back with a blow-up doll – you know, just in case anyone didn’t understand what the song was about. WATCH: “Ill Street Blues” LIVE 1993… After the jump…

Rounding things out we have Kool G Rap & DJ Polo performing their last great single together as a duo, “Ill Street Blues” live for TV, 1993. When’s the last time you saw a studio audience this amped rhyming along the words to “Ill Street Blues”? For a whole lot of y’all – friggin’ never. As for G & P: livin’ camouflage large up in this piece!
