1. Wale Dissed by Toronto Raptors’ Announcer Live on TV (VIDEO).

It seems these days the NBA is more entertaining off the court than on. During last night’s game between the visiting Toronto Raptors and the Wizards the real face-off was between Washington D.C. rapper Wale and Raptors announcer Matt Devlin, who after noticing Wale (sitting courtside) trading words with Raptor Rudy Gay, began to belittle the MMG member on the air, referring to him as a “local rapper,” and inadvertently kept pronouncing his name as “Wall-A,” with a slight pause before and extra emphasis on the “A.” What’s funny (or sad… or sadly funny) is that this is probably the best dis we’ve heard in hip-hop circles in a while. The final kick in the nuts with a size 14 Nike? When Devlin said, “And I’m sure somebody on Twitter can tell me exactly if they have ever heard of Wall-A. He’s not Drake, that’s for sure.” OMMG!

But that wasn’t the end of it. Supposedly Wale — who as it turns out is actually buddies with Rudy Gay and wasn’t talking trash to him like previously thought — tweeted at his new nemesis Devlin: “Watch your mouth.” Evidently, it didn’t stop there, though, as the heated, locally-known rap singer paid a visit to the Raptors’ broadcast section [NOTE: PLEASE SEE COMMENT BELOW], as you’ll see in the second video.

  2. You might wanna peep...

    • Richard Barrett

Misleading. I watched the broadcast. The announcers invited him to the booth to talk after the 3rd Q. They were asking fans on Twitter to tell them more about Wale. They concluded that he was well known and that they themselves were just getting old.

Hey Richard, thanks for the comment/clarification. Still a funny incident though, the way it started.
