Music-geeks and those of us old-enough-to-know, are well familiar with Herb Alpert’s 1979 instrumental banger, “Rise” — which also happens to be the track used in Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 smash “Hypnotize.” Interestingly enough, Herb’s nephew Randy “Captain BadAzz” Alpert not only co-wrote the track (along with Andy Armer), but entertainingly comes across as your textbook Warholian music-industry strange-o in this clip where he stakes claim on one of Christopher Wallace’s biggest hits ever. Enough said. We’ll let this video speak for itself.
