Another one for the vinyl enthusiasts. Last Shop Standing is a documentary charting the rapid rise of record shops in the UK from the 1960s, '70s and '80s, and how the total number of shops in the country went from thousands down to just a few hundred. Interviewed are the likes of '80s UK rock royalty like Paul Weller, Johnny Marr, and Billy Bragg. Haven't peeped the whole film (directed by Pip Piper and based on Graham Jones' book of the same name), but from the looks of the trailer (below) seems more than promising. Last Shop Standing is officially out this week. You can order the DVD online , or (in a bit of marketing strategical genius) via your local record store.
