VIDEO: DJ Hollywood on the Origins of Hip-Hop

On April 28, 2011, ego trip (along with Andreas Vingaard) presented a screening of the award-winning documentary film White Lines & The Fever: The Death of DJ Junebug at the esteemed Maysles Cinema in Harlem.

In attendance was THE man who coined the party-rocking phrase, “Throw your hands in the air,” the legendary DJ Hollywood. After the screening Hollywood took questions, and shared a little sumpin’ sumpin’ about his pioneering contributions to hip-hop. Enjoy!
