After a homicide conviction and subsequent 12-year bid, Chi Ali is now a free man. MTV's Rap Fix recently caught up with the former Native Tongues child rapper for his first post-incarceration interview in which he briefly recalls the circumstances of his arrest all those years ago. And if you only remember Chi as the squeaky-voiced little kid from "Age Ain't Nuthin' But a Number," well, it ain't 1993 no more.

Is this an audition tape for Sway?

Everyone should have the opportunity for rehabilitation and reconciliation:God bless Chi, his fam and the victim of his crime. I still find it bugged though that this interview presents his story of a murder rap bargained to manslaughter as if he copped a plea to jay walking. Sway: "Let's have a big round of applause..." Yo, the media says this?

Chi Ali will win if..... he comes @ me from the perspective of life and the situations/consequences that come from the choices he made as well as what it's like to still advocate being an educated Blackman under those circumstances.

Smack fire out tha first " I'm a bing monsta/guap coppa..." Chi Ali track, word is my bond.

I don't get why Chi Ali deserves a round of applause. Since when do convicted murderers deserve a round of applause? What a stupid thing to say. What the hell is Sway talking about? How about "I can't wait to get the family of Chi Ali's victim in on the couch" instead?

Well.If the director of those Jeepers Creepers film can get a second chance after perving on little boys, So can Chi.
