With tragic mass shootings and the call for stricter gun control dominating headlines here in the USA, this week we screen the 1974 made-for-TV movie, The Gun, which chronicles the life of a handgun as it travels from the manufacturing company into the hands of several owners. It’s an intriguing look from nearly 40 years ago at a current national problem with impressionable scenes that still resonate today.
The Gun (1974), directed by John Badham, who a few years later would go on to direct Saturday Night Fever.
