As Election Day nears, more and more rappers are getting vocal about voting . Shyne is one of those rappers, who recently spoke with MTV News and declared he'd vote for Mitt Romney ... that is if he could actually vote. Shyne was deported after his release from prison in 2009, serving 8+ years for shooting up the club in '99.
Seems Shyne Po has a bone to pick with the President feeling that the Chief Executive has not used his powers to help him return to U.S. soil. (The mad rapper has been living in his native Belize, Paris and Jerusalem the last few years.)
"[Obama] knows who Shyne is, he knows I'm deported," the rapper said, noting that he and the Prez have a friend in common, Harvard Law professor Charles J. Ogletree. "He's always talkin' about he listens to hip-hop and his daughter listens to hip-hop... How can he be serious about stopping violence in inner cities and promoting education in inner cities and not using Shyne? Obama is playing games. He frontin'. He better do the right thing."
Just in case Mr. Obama needs a nudge in helpin' the ex-Bad Boy out, Shyne, who has publicly demonstrated his Jewish faith more frequently, stated: "Jews is powerful, so if he don't help the Jew out he ain't gonna be blessed. And he ain't doing the right thing. My voice is too powerful."
With the threat of losing the Jewbacca vote, at least Obama can rely on Chewbacca and friends for suport, namely Luke Skywalker. O.G. Star Wars actor Mark Hamill appeared on Current TV’s The Young Turks and when he was asked which character from the famous film franchise reminded him most of the POTUS, he repsonded: “Well, he’s very wise. He’s got sort of a cross between Obi-Wan and Yoda."
