1. The Roy Ayers Project Documentary is Coming to Brooklyn, Baby (Thursday, 11.1)

If ever there was a musician whose influence from the jazz-funk era into the hip-hop era was worthy of documenting it’s the great Roy Ayers . And for the past few years the Roy Ayers Project has been working on doing just that. Next week the folks behind this documentary film in progress present a preview screening of their work at The Counting Room in the heart of Willie B. And best of all, it’s FREE (though donations to the project are gladly accepted). Live in Brooklyn, baby? You got no excuse. Hit the thumbnails above to check out the film’s trailer and photos.
