1. Reggie Watts Does His Weirdo Beatbox-Singing-Thing To Van Halen’s “Panama” (VIDEO).

    REGGIE-WATTS-PANAMA

I’m gonna blow up our collective spot: There were times back in the day in the old ego trip office when some of us ego trippers couldn’t get enough of Van Halen’s 1984 album. In particular, Diamond David Lee Roth’s ad-libs on “Hot for Teacher” were probably perennial favorite quotables (e.g. “Funny, I don’t feel tardy”). But me, personally, I held a special place in my heart for “Panama.” Which for me makes this performance by the avant-garde/comedian/musician Reggie Watts even more sweet. – Brent Rollins
