1. Rap Album Covers Get The Remix Treatment. Are They Better & Deffer? (GALLERY)

Describing himself as an old skateboarder/thrift digger who likes to design things, Jeff Rochester has remixed some of his favorite hip-hop album covers and the results are impressive to say the least. His thoughtful design recreations are a tribute to the old, worn-out (but never played-out) vinyl art in every serious music lover’s collection, complete with ragged edges, each piece bold and striking with a touch of 1960s aesthetic. Pretty fresh if you ask us.

NO WAY. Maybe the Madlib one (as he loves to hide), but how could you not have Eric B + Rakim OR all the gold around their neck on the cover? And no pic of the iconic Lord Quas? Not the same. Where’s the doom mask?. Loses the style and feel of the acts. Not a fan – ESP not the Rakim ones.

majority are not better, although the Jeru one’s are cool and are better than the original sleeve. Nice stuff though.
