Belated happy born-day shouts to the late Irving Rapper (b. January 16th, 1898) – who was one of the last surviving directors of the Golden Age of Hollywood – before passing away in 1999 just four weeks shy of age 102. No disrespect to his filmography (which includes the classic Bette Davis starred Now, Voyager ) but come on – homie’s name is Rapper . He was clearly born in the wrong era. By 2012 standards, he’s got at least as good if not way better a rapper name than, say, ScHoolBoy Q. Money Earnin’ Irvin’ – a/k/a, Mr. Rapper – salute!
