1. 10 Music Videos Featuring Rappers Running.

We'll make this quick, yo. We recently peeped Cut Chemist's new music video for "Outro (Revisted)," which has the rapper Blackbird running like crazy through downtown Los Angeles and it set our minds zooming trying to think of other clips that got rap cats on the run. Of course, N.W.A's "100 Miles and Runnin'" quickly popped into our heads, but we also came up with a few others, some less obvious than that. In our hurry to post, we probably forgot some, so let us know what we might have missed. OK, it's time to bounce y'all. Peep these 10 music videos with rappers running, after the jump...

    Beastie Boys — "Sabotage"

Starsky & Hutch never got down like this. Neither did Kojak, but that's OK. Kojak was way too cool to run.

    Cappadonna — "Run"

The projects got more track meets than the local high school.

Clipse ft. Ab-Liva, Rosco P. Coldchain & Pharrell— "Hot Damn"

A nod to the opening and ending scenes of the Brazilian favela drama City of God only here the action is set in an American slum.

Cut Chemist ft. Blackbird — "Outro (Revisited)"

Blackbird flies (ha, get it?) through downtown L.A. near some of our favorite locations in Repo Man .

Ghostface Killah ft. Jadakiss & Comp — "Run"

Alright, so there's not a lot of runnin' in this one actually despite the title. The way GFK moves his arms looks like he's joggin' mad miles though.

LSG ft. LL Cool J & Busta Rhymes — "Curious"

Levert, Sweat, Gill, LL and Busta. There's five of them but they're not the Beatles. But they get chased like them.

Mase ft. Black Rob, DMX, The Lox & Puff Daddy — "24 Hours To Live"

Prison break through the swamps back when Bad Boy was runnin' thangs.

    Method Man & Redman — "P.I.G.S."

Mef and Red (dressed as nuns) have a hard habit to break: they keep gettin' chased by cops.

    N.W.A — "100 Miles and Runnin'"

Ninjas wit' attitude? Ninjas wit' athleticism!

    OutKast— "B.O.B."

    Andre chased by 3000 fans.

'95's anti-running "Runnin'" by the Pharcyde does in fact include some rappers running. While Xzibit is comfortable just walking (albeit at a pretty good clip) there is some high quality running in the "What U See Is What U Get" video. If we are allowing for sports themed videos (there are boatloads) then I am confident Trick Daddy has at least a handful himself, I will nominate "Take It To Da House" since it acted as superb entry music at our wedding reception.

No rappers involved, but the Spike Jonze directed "California" by Wax is the greatest running video of all time, right?

    • egotrip

Yeah, we was gonna put the Pharcyde joint in there, but didn't because it was only that one scene with Fatlip running in the hall with the kids chasin' him, but that could have easily made list. P.S. You played Trick Daddy at your wedding reception? That's so cool.

    • egotrip

      Good choice, Walker. Props.

Missed: Beanie Sigel - Mack (B****) . Will never forget this video mainly cause Beans is 260+ looking like he can run a 4.4 in this video.

      Cappadonna's "Run" is so dope

"Take ya 3 to 6 and you add that sh*t"

Some classic Rapper Running in the "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tzSjtuMGOQ
and "We Want Easy" videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn_qcEBOmiA

Huh. I did not actually re-watch the Pharcyde joint, but remembered Fat Lip in the hallway and thought they did some running on the lawn in the white suits...I will do some YouTubing tonight.

With regard to the reception, "so we might as well get announced with Trick Daddy playing, right?" "Um, you say that like it's even a question, yes, yes we should." Na, we did toss around some other ideas...I think The Beatnuts "Watch Out Now" would be fresh. Whole reception music was solid, DJ Gemini (Samuel Guzman) - I think NYC's own, but in Rochester since the 80s - held it down.

I only have two really good pieces of wedding advice. One, get the invitations at a party store/warehouse. They are the same exact thing at a fraction of the cost of the fancy man shops. Two, if you go the DJ route get one that actually played in clubs and take a close look at what you want on the playlist, but then trust her/him to do what they do.

Hell yeah, Fat Guy. Good one. (It's OK if we call you Fat Guy, right?)

    • Ricky Choo

Whoa!! You really did NOT forget ATCQ's Oh My God?!?!?!

    • monsignor

This is a good one. Well, it's actually a good song with a pretty shitty video. But it's a prime example of running. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRxdyftPVeo
