1. TONIGHT:
    Mobile Mondays’
    Tribute to Don Blackman (NYC).

Anyone in NYC seeking Labor Day evening plans should check this out: the Mobile Mondays crew’s tribute to Mr. Don Blackman – OG jazz-funk-soul singer/songwriter/musician who sadly passed away earlier this year, but whose music lives on. If you’re familiar with the work of Weldon Irvine, the GRP label or any number of tracks by Jay-Z, Madlib and others that have sampled Mr. Blackman then you’re likely already a fan. Members of Don’s band and Twennynine featuring the legendary Lenny White will be performing live and Lady Miss Kier of Deee-Lite fame will be DJ-ing as well. Vital stats…
