1. Listen to & Watch the Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble ft. Zap Mama’s Cover of “Walk On By.”

Last December we gave away tickets to a few lucky egotripland readers to the “That 70′s Soul” concert in Los Angeles – a celebration of the music of all-time greats like Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Donny Hathaway, Curtis Mayfield, Minnie Riperton and others as performed by the Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble and friends. Now, audio and video from the show are being shared by the folks at Art Don’t Sleep, beginning with this stirring cover version of the Isaac Hayes’ rendition of “Walk On By.” Listen, download and read description from Art Don’t Sleep, below, then peep the video for full effect.

Art Don’t Sleep: This song was the last song of the night. Originally written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, we chose the version performed by Isaac Hayes. “Walk On By” is the name of the song. Zap Mama gave this song a new twist and meaning, the ensemble dug in deep and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson took the song to a new level that we will never be able to forget. We hope you enjoy our humble offering and all we ask is that you share it with everyone you care about.
