Spanish publication Magazine de Fuera de Serie is fending off allegations of The Racism with the cover of its latest issue - which features artwork depicting Michelle Obama as a semi-nude African slave . The First Lady's face is Photoshopped on French neoclassical painter Marie-Guillemine Benoist's "Portrait d'une négresse" - an iconic image which dates from the abolition of slavery in France and is meant to symbolize empowerment. However, not everyone is buying into the artsy angle . Cover artist Karine Percheron-Daniels' other works have portrayed figures like Barack Obama and the Queen of England in similarly revealing contexts, and says she thinks the First Lady would approve. Not so sure about that. Homegirl, apparently, has never been to the Southside of Chicago. They do not play.
