1. WATCH: Martha Cooper & Henry Chalfant Interviewed About Graffiti (circa 1985).

The first minute alone of this clip from the mid '80s World of Photography television series is worth the watch as our good friend (and OG ego trip investor) Henry Chalfant gets a message on his answering machine from a graf writer telling him where he can go to shoot a freshly done 'piece. Next, we get to hear fellow photographer Martha Cooper talk about how she met the legendary Dondi before joining Henry in discussion about their iconic book, Subway Art . Co-author Martha is on point as she states: "Our photographs have become a permanent record of something that 20 years from now, or 50 years, or even 100 years from now is gonna be really rare and unusual." Good stuff.

I miss the trains looking this way. Everything is so sanitized and sterile now.
