    Red Bull Music Academy ‘s excellent “beat:repeat NYC” vid series continues with a look at the creation of an ’80s hip-hop/electro classic, Man Parrish ‘s 808 and vocoder-fueled “Boogie Down Bronx.” Ironically enough, the track was not born in the BX but Man Parrish’s Bensonhurst, Brooklyn bedroom studio, as the maestro and his vocal collaborator John Carter recall.
