More previously unreleased treats courtesy Slice-of-Spice Records. Here, saved from the scrap heap, is Lord Finesse's remix of his own "You Know What I'm About" (originally from the Trespass soundtrack) . The Funky Man apparently had planned to include this lost remix as a bonus cut on the so-often-delayed-ya-thought-it-might-never-see-the-light-of-day Funky Technician remix project. Now, however, in what can only be described as the ultimate revenge of the record nerd move, SSR plans to release the track not on 10" or 7", not on vinyl at all, but on limited edition flexi-disc . (You can grab it at the Slice-of-Spice Records table at the WFMU Record Fair in October in NYC. Not sure if that means everyone else is S.O.L., but if so, them's the breaks...) Whatever the format, previously unreleased Finesse should be welcome in every hip-hop home. Hear a snippet below.

the "scary" original works so much better in the context of the soundtrack. This remix is too latino-happy for a beat down.
