UPDATE: JOEY BADA$$ RESPONDS WITH SOME FIRE.
The Based God works in mysterious ways. (Hallelujah holla back.) Lil B didn’t take too kindly to a recent tweet by BK’s Joey Bada$$, in which he paraphrased a line said by Pro Era’s Capital STEEZ (may he rest in peace) on the song “Survival Tactics” released about a year ago (“They say hard work pays off, well tell the Based God don’t quit his day job”). Based God wasn’t having it and released “I’m The Bada$$,” a “warning shot” declaring, “Don’t Be The Next Joe” and ending with the not-so-scary proclamation: “Pink Flame!” But that was just the half as the two rappers briefly went at it coast to coast on the Ze Twitter.
Now we know some of you loyal egotripland readers don’t give a shit about this this kind of stuff, which is fine, because it at least leads us to a discussion about that freakin’ psychotic yet incredible Pink Flame artwork. If Norman Bates was Black, young and still didn’t give a fuck, this is the type of things that would haunt his brain.
