If as the oft-made declaration goes, Vinyl Is Back, then there's no more convincing evidence of said phenomenon (not even statistical analysis ) than the existence of this: a fully functioning record turntable made (almost entirely) from Lego bricks. Beautifully designed by Hayrobi, "The Planet" as it's been dubbed is comprised of 2,024 pieces, runs via an official Lego motor and battery box, plays at 33 and 1/3 and 45 rpm (sorry, 78 fans), and is augmented by LED, nixie tubes and an Audio Technica cartridge. Damn impressive - although you may wanna refrain from practicing any vintage DMC battle routines on it. Hit up the gallery for a closer look and video of this true player for real in action.
