The hypnotic but too brief “Matador” off Karriem Riggins‘ excellent Alone Together instrumental album adds verses from a few Stones Throw vocal mainstays – Krondon, Homeboy Sandman, Guilty Simpson and Jonwayne – and the result is this fine posse cut. Given that there were easily several Alone Together beats that would seem to merit reinvention as full-fledged vocal tracks could this be a sign of things to come? We shall see. But for now listen and download “Matador” below.
