If so, here’s a way to enjoy The Album the Interwebz Can’t Stop Exploding On Itself About without actually listening to it: Gianni Lee and Mike Blud ‘s “Yeezus: The Samples” mixtape , a conceptually simple as hell (one could even say, ahem, “Bound 2” happen) but pretty effective program of the source material digitally utilized for Kanye ‘s latest. Given Yeezus ‘ much discussed sonic aggression, YTS is at turns mellow and meditative – as on the Lee produced intro, which makes nice use of those warm Wee Ohio soul synths, and its segue into Holy Name of Mary Choral Family’s gospel gem (this, of course, before Marilyn Manson crashes the party).
