1. K-Def – “Times Change” (AUDIO).

Some of you may be familiar with talented producer K-Def via his mid-90s work under Marley Marl for the likes of Tragedy and Lords of the Underground , or as one half of the NJ-based duo Real Live. Though he went MIA for a number of years, excellent solo instrumental efforts of more recent vintage like ’06’s Willie Boo Boo “The Fool” proved Def still deft with his touch on the beats. The lovely “Times Change” provides even further evidence, as K adroitly shifts soul samples throughout, the supremely mellow groove casually motoring undisturbed. Listen below. Available on iTunes August 9th. 3-song colored vinyl 7″ available for pre-order here .
