1. Shiznit We Slept On: Jay-Z Tells TV Host Charlie Rose How to Pronounce Tupac’s Name (2010).

People who don’t listen to hip-hop all have one thing in common… they don’t know how to pronounce the late Tupac Shakur’s name. But some folks should get a pass, say senior citizens like distinguished television host Charlie Rose, for example. In late 2010, the now 70-year-old journalist sat down for a one-hour chat with rap superstar Jay-Z in front of a live Brooklyn Museum audience and as could be expected for someone who was already 49 when 2Pacalypse Now came out, Rose said “Tu-Pack” during the interview. Mr. Carter schooled the septuagenarian, but tried to be cool about it, explaining as best as he could that white people always have trouble with the proper pronunciation (no racism). The best part, though, is Charlie’s reaction: he gives Hov a fist bump. (Yo, the brother Chuck don’t swear he’s nice, he knows he’s nice.)
