See, Hear: James Brown Interviewed About Rap Music & Presented with a DMC Award (1988).

The one and only James Brown, seen here in Europe to receive a special award at the 1988 DMC World DJ Championships, fields questions about hip-hop and sampling (or, as the lady interviewer puts it, "stealing"). "[Rap is] an expression of life," says the Godfather of Soul, who continues on to state that he thought it was a "form of flattery" when artists used his music. "I think some of it, the lawyers are gonna discuss," he adds, without any malice. "[But] I'm very happy that they love me." When questions start heading towards his personal life, James smoothly switches it up by serenading the female reporter with a taste of "Prisoner of Love." RIP JB.
