1. Homeboy Sandman – “The Miracle” (AUDIO).

    homeboy.sandman

Homeboy Sandman and Stones Throw Records: Two entities we’ve long enjoyed separately that we are pleased to learn have found one another. “The Miracle” is the lead track off of the Subject Matter EP, Sandman’s first release for Stones Throw, and it pretty much picks up where his last effort, the excellent The Good Sun (High Water Music), left off. Word associative as ever, HS contemplates and dissects his creative process, occasionally deviating into his signature sing-song flourishes while a spacey library-type beat accompanies. Intensely playful shit, here. “As AM turns to PM the zone I be in is muy bien,” the Queens-ian declares. Couldn’t agree more. Subject Matter drops tomorrow, January 24th. Buy it, HERE.

Did you noticed the sample used on Deltron 3030′s “Virus” at the beginning and all the way on the back ? It’s disturbing cause I have the fantastic Del tha Funky Homosapian lyrics on my mind instead (“I wanna devise a virus/To bring dire straits to your environment/Crush your corporations with a mild touch/Trash your whole computer system and revert you to papyrus..). Other than that, Homeboy Sandman is dooope, as usual.

Nijikid yea fool that’s “Atlantis” by Release Music Orchestra, it’s one of those gotta-use-at-some-point-in-your-producing-career samples.
