Helsinki, Finland’s High Society Brothers – the folks responsible for heavy-ass recordings like this and sublime ballads like this – put together a near 2-hour podcast/radio show/mix thing of soul 45s recently. For those unaware, these dudes are part of the same HKI soul-funk aficionado axis composed of the likes of Club Soul Sides and Timmion Records. The selections herein are, of course, uniformly strong on the northern soul-crossover-funk-ballad tip, and the mic patter in Finnish adds a touch of the exotic.
