    The Harlem International Film Festival continuing on until the 23 of September, 2012

    For five days each year the Harlem International Film Festival (Hi) is committed to exemplifying the eminence that Harlem represents, by bringing attention to scores of the best filmmakers from around the world. In addition, the Festival features the Harlem Spotlight, highlighting films produced or directed by Harlem residents, films shot in Harlem, or films
    about Harlem and her history. This 5 day series features over 50 short films, full length motion pictures, and  music videos sharing a resemblance of Harlem in them all.

    The Frank Matthews Story

    In the early 1970's, Frank Matthews becomes America's biggest drug kingpin. His organization, headquartered in Brooklyn, stretched across more than 20 states, and he became the only Black gangster to establish direct ties to the French Connection heroin pipeline. After being indicted in 1973, he disappeared with 15-20 million dollars in drug profits, equivalent to roughly 100million in today's cash. Despite one of the largest manhunts in US history,Frank Matthews hasn't been seen since. There is no proof of whether he is alive or dead.
