1. Grap Luva – “Work It Out” / “Rocking With Elegance (One For Damu).”(AUDIO)

We’ve long been fond of Grap Luva’s supremely mellow vocals and soulful work behind the console (skills that obviously run in the family – Grap being Pete Rocks’s baby brother). Today, the former InI-ian unveils two sweet sneak previews from his Neva Done EP, which drops tomorrow via our friends at Redefinition Records (vinyl via Slice-Of-Spice). Listen below:

“Work It Out” presents words of encouragement dedicated to “the oppressed youth,” its no frills message tempered by producer Joc Max’s sweeping track – complete with what sounds like a lonely-sounding harmonica sample. Oh man, we’re suckers for them lonely-sounding harmonica samples.

“Rocking With Elegance” is pretty much self-descriptive – a beautiful instrumental that extracts the melodic elements of InI’s “Square One” and let’s ’em ride for a gone-too-quick two-and-a-half minutes.
