The weed anthem is a rap topic that has seen better days. Too many times, the mandatory Mary Jane song only reinforces the stereotype that smokin' too much herb makes you lazy. To do it right these days, you can't just go through the motions, rappers and producers really need to bring it, bring it like "Kush Cloud." The atmospheric Freddie Gibbs joint produced by SMKA attempts to make you feel like you're actually lifted, as if you're floating on an actual Kush cloud on your way to White Castle to fend off a serious attack of the munchies in some deleted scene from a Harold & Kumar movie. Then there's the crazy, invigorated rhymin' that offsets the slo-mo pace of the track. Gangsta Gibbs invites SpaceGhostPurrp and Krayzie Bone to the Midwest Miami smoke-a-thon and both come off well, with the Bone Thugster particularly sounding refreshed, adding a slight twist to his tongue-twisting flow. You don't have to be a smoker to dig this one.
