1. AUDIO: Easy Mo Bee’s DJ mix on WNYU’s “A Downtown Affair” (Free Download).

Easy Mo Bee recently paid a visit to WNYU’s esteemed Friday night disco, modern soul, and vintage club sounds-oriented program “A Downtown Affair” (at the behest of the peeps at Big City Records). Mo Bee may be best known as a world class hip-hop producer – his work with Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Craig Mack, and others well documented . But what folks may not realize is that the pride of Lafayette Gardens in Brooklyn is also quite skilled behind the 1s and 2s. For his 2-hour-plus(!) set on “ADA” (after some introductory studio chatter), Mo Bee drops a set of classic disco – even working in some soulful house favorites.
