1. Home Movies of the Dogtown Skate Park in Mexico City, Circa 1979 (VIDEO).

Here's some cool Super 8 footage from the personal archives of Manuel Santos , whose father built and managed in the late '70s a "club de patineta" (skate park) in Mexico City bearing the world famous Dogtown name. Legends like Tony Alva , Dave Hackett , and Jimmy Plummer actually made the trek across the border to the park, totally blowing the minds of locals (you can see some of that arrival at the start.) You'll also get to peep some bowl action, rock 'n' roll, and a killer half pipe at the end.
