1. Shiznit We Slept On: “Do The Right Thing” vs. “Sesame Street” (2006).

    Do_Sesame

Last week, we reported how director Spike Lee goofed on a social media platform, but right now we ease things up with this on-point parody of perhaps Lee’s most famous film…with Muppets taking center stage. Yes, folks, it’s Do The Right Thing starring Sesame Street characters, with Ernie as Spike’s Mookie, Bert as Radio Raheem and Mr. Hooper as Sal, the ornery pizzeria owner who flips out when Big Bird asks, “How come you ain’t got no pictures of Muppets up on the wall?” (He later really, really goes off when Bert refuses to turn down the PE bumpin’ out his boombox: “You fuckin’ muppets you got respect for nothin’. You just lay around the street all day countin’ and addin’ up letters and I am sick of it!”) If you slept on this clever spoof like we did, do the right thing (sorry) and see it all the way through.

PEEP ERNIE THROW OSCAR THE GROUCH THROUGH THE WINDOW AND MORE AFTER THE JUMP…
