SEE, HEAR: DMX & John Forte Freestyle Session (1998).

Both of them ended up having a lot of turmoil in their lives, but back before all the problems mounted up DMX and Refugee Camp affiliate John Forte spent a studio session rhyming back and forth on some real hip-hop ish . This footage was probably shot in early '98 and despite the grainy, night vision aesthetic it still packs a lot of heat due mainly to the expected intensity of X (who kicks crazy lines including some bars from his song "The Great" before it was released) while Forte shows the lyrical promise that was cut short by his prison stint. (Look for Irv Gotti in the back standing at the doorway at the midway point). (Props to akashuriken for the upload.)

X is at his best @ 01:58 when he reaffirms the camp to "C'mon."
