    Hey, what do you know? More blackface. Not gonna front, we don’t really know too much about Die Antwoord, but you can tell that Ninja and Yo-Landi Visser are some bugged-out mofo’s just by looking at them…or hearing a few seconds of their music. The South African weirdos’ latest music video, “Fatty Boom Boom,” takes major shots at Lady Gaga, using a dude in a drag to portray the pop star (who has a very GROSS scene at the free clinic), and also manages to shit on Black Eyed Peas literally via a mural of one of them seven-headed Book of Revelation beasts (with the domes of what appear to possibly be several famous folks like Nicki Minaj, Pitbull and Kanye West) pooping on (out?) the BEPs. If that weren’t enough, yeah, that’s Yo-Landi in total blackface (blackbody?)

    Shame on a Ninja (and a Yo-Landi).

      Shame on you for not getting it.

      That video addresses crime in Africa, women’s health care, the western materialism of us over in ‘tha overseas.’ (‘Look at their freaky style, they should open for me,’ which is to say Lady Gaga only likes them for their look, and knows nothing of their music or intention), and one must not forget it also addresses the misconception we have of Africa (hence the dude chilling with a lion, the dude chilling with a black panther, and the hyenas eating through the trash).

      This video is a work of art. Can’t get past the black face? Hardly black face… her whole body is painted black, and she has dollar signs for eyes. The intention is not to ‘make fun of blacks,’ or any of that shit, as there are other blacks in the video, no?

      The fact that blackface doesn’t have cultural significance in Africa doesn’t excuse the fact that it DOES have cultural significance in other places. I can buy it being a mistake, but c’mon. Not knowing any better when you’re a global artist doesn’t cut it, and they should at least consider that people could get offended, and apologize/explain themselves.

      As much as I clown my fellow Americans for their closed-mindedness I’m not going to let others off the hook.

      If it have cultural significance and other places is because people in those places are lazy thinkers.They ignore the context in which black face is being done in the present to give it meaning of the past and then want to call other people ignorant and fools.I hope they don’t apologize and continue to do black face as long as they wish to.
