SEE, HEAR: Del the Funkee Homosapien, J Mascis, Mike D. & Mike Watt Perform “Missing Link” on “The Arsenio Hall Show” (1993).

This one right here is for the indie rock and real rap fans, a cosmic collision of sorts that finds Hiero's Del, Dinosaur Jr.'s leader J Mascis, Mike D. from the Beastie Boys (playing drums) and legendary Minutemen/fIREHOSE bassist Mike Watt sharing the same stage —but just not any stage, Arsenio's cotdamn stage. The supergroup rips through a smoke machine-heavy rendition of "Missing Link" from the Judgment Night soundtrack. The vid is a bit grainy, but the performance still packs a sonic punch. (Props to s9jeremiah for the upload.)

the Judgment Night soundtrack was responsible for some horrible music.
      Nu Metal.

I disagree. Nu Metal was an abomination, but the Judgement Night soundtrack is a (mostly) excellent example of how rock and hip hop can be combined to make something larger than the sum of it's parts. There's some really good tracks on there. All but a few are amped and infectious quality collaborations.

This joint was hot as was the De La track "Fallin". The rest of Judgement Night not so much.
