1. AUDIO: WFMU's "Coffee Break For Heroes & Villains" - MCA Tribute Show (Free Download).

Our friend Noah Uman , host of the long-running, critically-acclaimed " Coffee Break For Heroes & Villains ," pays tribute to Adam "MCA" Yauch by dedicating an entire show (almost two hours) of uninterrupted Beastie Boys music and interviews.

A true Beastie fan, Noah plays all types of rarities, demos, b-sides and soundbites from the '80s on up, including "Party's Getting Rough," all the way to ?uestlove of The Roots speaking at the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony about his earliest memories of the group (he originally thought they were Puerto Rican!). The whole program is a heartfelt celebration of MCA and the Beastie Boys' legacy.

    Writes Noah:

"No mic breaks for today's show, just straight Beastie Boy'n it! The news of Adam Yauch's passing was so heart breaking to me. Like so many people of my generation, we grew up with the Beastie Boys and evolved as they evolved. I remember hearing them on 'Rap Attack,' and I vividly remember my brother Michael playing me 'Cookie Puss.' A few years later in 1986 or '87 he took me to see them perform. At that show I got to meet the group as well as Russell Simmons, Rick Rubin, Ricky Powell and Dave Skilken (RIP). Years later I'm still a fan of their music as well as their message and specifically the words that MCA spoke. It was so great to see someone say 'Hey, hurting people is not right, come along with me,' and people did! They listened and learned. We evolved as they evolved. Instead of being sad and I know it's hard not to be, but let's celebrate Adam's music and life! The selections picked are less the hits but some cuts that don't often get heard, some b-sides, some rare tracks and some real goodies. The audio is all over the place due to some of the source material but so what... Special thanks to Adam Yauch & The Beastie Boys!"

Great! I'm not too familiar with deep-cut Beasties demos etc. so a lot of these discoveries were really entertaining. Dammit I miss MCA. Thanks so much for sharing.
