If you, like us, missed last night's broadcast of the BET Hip-Hop Awards (don't know how that keeps happening every year) you're in luck. The Interwebz informs us that the broadcast included an impassioned tribute to Chris Lighty in which the beloved late music exec's friends and Violator-managed artists, A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott and the newly amicable Fat Joe and 50 Cent all performed. Besides the performances, nice moments included seeing that vintage Baby Chris-featured Jungle Brothers 12-inch single sleeve projected on the big screen, as well as an appearance by Kool DJ Red Alert.
