A Vimeo user by the name of James Winters decided to pay tribute to the memory of Adam Yauch by getting his video camera and rounding up his wife and kids to shoot this spot-on spoof of one of the Beastie Boys’ greatest music videos, “Sabotage.” All of the action of the original is here, except to make it child-proof, we see the tykes dive into a kiddie pool, run through a playground and open up a suitcase containing an empty Pop Rocks package. All good, safe fun in a tribute to a rap icon. (Special thanks to Waterblock NYC.) Check out the video after the jumps…

We usually eye “remixes” of classics (particularly those that cross genres) with some suspicion. It’s just too easy to mess up something that was fine on its own. Thankfully that’s anything but the case here. D.C.-based producer/emcee Oddisee takes on Marvin Gaye’s timeless Motown classic, “Ain’t That Peculiar,” and does a damn nice job reinventing it as something wholly contemporary yet still respectful of the OG. The crucial production move here: O’s decision to shift the song’s backing track to a minor key, bringing out somber strains in the melody that were easy to miss otherwise. Of course, some will still inevitably cry heresy – especially given the fact that Oddisee drops a verse towards song’s end. But we’ll take genuine remixes over some ironic “mash-up” b.s. any day. Nice job on the video editing by Rob Mac too. Peep it, after the jump…

We’ll make this quick, yo. We recently peeped Cut Chemist’s new music video for “Outro (Revisted),” which has the rapper Blackbird running like crazy through downtown Los Angeles and it set our minds zooming trying to think of other clips that got rap cats on the run. Of course, N.W.A’s “100 Miles and Runnin’” quickly popped into our heads, but we also came up with a few others, some less obvious than that. In our hurry to post, we probably forgot some, so let us know what we might have missed. OK, it’s time to bounce y’all. Peep these 10 music videos with rappers running, after the jump…

MaLLy presents the music video for his track “Shine” – which we previously expressed our fondness for. Pretty simple clip – just the Minneapolis-based emcee walking around some industrial locales as Sundance Kid’s bass-fueled track buzzes. Still sounds (*Rah Digga voice*) TIGHT. Peep it, after the jump…

Two months ago we spotlighted this all-star union assembled by the well-respected proudcer Extra P. Now comes the enriched, color-corrected video for “M.A.R.S.,” a no-nonsense presentation designed to look like raw footage, which suits this crew of underground favorites just fine as each rapper comes correct, spitting tough stanzas custom built to last. Peep the video after the jump…

First track to be bestowed a music video from Big Baby Gandhi’s splendid No 1 2 Look Up 2 mixtape/album is the lovely toy piano-type boast, “Been a Villain.” Is this the finest music video to prominently feature a person of Asian descent rapping in the aisles of a bodega since this? We cannot answer for sure. But we can tell you we certainly enjoy BBG’s Milk D meets Hurricane G flow. Plus, Gandhi’s words navigate the line between funny/insightful quite adeptly (e.g. “Yeah, I cooled out, made beats now I’m a weirdo/ 21 years old waiting for my peers to grow”). Peep it, after the jump…

A previously unreleased music video for Kanye West’s “Lost In the World” (from 2010′s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy) is now no longer lost in limbo. Apparently, the Ruth Hogben-directed clip was shelved for whatever reason during the promo cycle for MBDTF. Couldn’t have been for excessive artsiness given the other visual treatments for songs from the album. Anyways, if you thought hearing the sampled voice of New Orleans R&B legend Eddie Bo going “Oh!” from “Hook & Sling” was an interesting juxtaposition with West’s Justin Vernon (Bon Iver)-assisted four-to-the-floor track, wait till you hear it while watching waif-y models suspended in space writhing emotively amidst cloud-like FX. Peep it, after the jump…

At the risk of upsetting Ye Olde Fuddy Duddy Rap Club, we bring you the music video for ASAP Rocky’s “Goldie,” the catchy, slow-like-molasses hit from the upcoming LongLiveASAP, which we freely admitted a while back that we rather enjoy. And, trust us, we’re not posting this clip just because it features copious amounts of nubile naked female flesh (thus making it NSFW). It ain’t all about bare breasteses. The lavish video (directed by the young Harlemite himself), also finds Rocky and his right hand man Yams cruising in an exotic, expensive convertible in the heart of flashy Paris. Interspersed are flashes of gold plated everythang — fronts, jewelz, guns, sneakers. And, to answer your question, yes, there’s nude college girls wearin’ Rock’s name on a chain. Peep the pulchritude after the hump…

Not sure how this one got by us, but thanks to the OGs over at Nah Right we became aware of this month-old Diamond D video for “Deflate Cha,” a self-assured track with some triumphant Shaft In Africa horns and what sounds like the same drums from the D.I.T.C. trackademic’s 1992 classic, “Fuck What U Heard.” Witness as the renowned beat digger shows you how he keeps his fingers dusty (e.g. rhyming at rugged construction sites; flippin’ through shelves of vintage vinyl) as he sends a warning out to “lil’ Leon Kennedy dudes” who are “‘Too Sweet’” in the hook: “Now if your crew gas your wack ass up I’m a deflate cha.” The video pops off, after the jump…

“A Pine Box Story” is, as you can probably deduce, not a story that ends happily for whoever it is that winds up in said pine box. The 9th Wonder-produced tune is culled from Raekwon’s latest mix-tape, Unexpected Victory; the accompanying music video – shot in a dimly lit basement – reveals just enough visual cues (masked henchman, prone John Doe) for you to get the gist of what unseemly activities are going on down there. Though less than 2-minutes long, Rae’s narrative finds him in fine grizzly tale telling form. Watch it, after the jump…
