1. 10 Videos of The Notorious B.I.G. You Must See.

The late, great Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace, was born on this date, May 21, in 1972 in New York, and would have turned 40 today. To commemorate the milestone, our peeps at UP NORTH TRIPS / @upnorthtrips and we here at egotripland have cherry-picked some vintage video clips of Big Poppa off the Web from different points in his all too brief career. We hope you enjoy them. Happy Birthday, Biggie Smalls – forever and always, the illest.

Biggie All-Star Birthday Bash Live at The Arena (1993)

A very hyped Biggie rips through “Whatchu Want” alongside an equally pumped Diddy, then shares the stage with a few friends – namely, Lord Finesse, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard (who drops “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” over Redman’s “Tonight’s da Night” instrumental). As a little bonus, the second half of the video fasts forward to Big doing “Warning” and “Gimme the Loot” at a 1995 Vibe magazine party, as well as a snippet of the “Get Money (Remix)” from 1996 at a Mary J. Blige platinum party.

    Notorious B.I.G Interview & Performance — Lorna’s Corner & Central Connecticut State University (1994)

The quality on the (brief) performance footage ain’t great, but that’s not why you should watch this. You oughta check it for the interview section from Lorna’s Corner – the long-running Hartford, CT public access TV show – which presents Biggie cool as a fan, confessing that “Everyday Struggle” is his favorite song off Ready To Die , and sending out some socially responsible words of wisdom.

Notorious B.I.G & Lord Finesse Live Freestyle (1994)

Biggie rips through “Biggie Smalls Is the Wickedest” (a/k/a his performance off the That Mister Cee Freestyle Sh*t mixtape) over “Impeach the President” alongside Lord Finesse again (who drops his verse off Big L’s “Da Graveyard”). The crowd reps BK heavy, and Biggie even shouts out Jeru the Damaja (ironic given the subliminal disses towards him on “Kick In the Door” years later).

    411 Knowledge & Entertainment Show Interview – Atlanta (1994)

Q: “Biggie Smalls is ______ “? A: “Biggie Smalls is the realest person in the game.”

Notorious B.I.G – “Big Poppa”/”Unbelievable” Live on The Apollo Comedy Hour (1995)

Biggie and Puff run through a medley of two of his greatest tunes. So dope your upper lip’ll quiver.
