Jay Smooth – radio host, cultural commentator and all-around voice of reason – reminded everyone that his long-running “Underground Railroad” program on NYC’s WBAI has enjoyed more than its share of great moments when he referred us to this mid-’90s appearance by A Tribe Called Quest. Joined on the mic by Consequence (and apparently a young Jay Dee rolling with the crew), Q-Tip and Phife flow off the dome for almost 10-minutes. “If only I had a video camera in the 90s!” Jay laments. Oh well, this will just have to do then.
